I have been using Entocort for nearly three years. I started using it
after developing a serious allergy to Remicade. While it is not as
effective as Remicade, i find it sufficiently effective that i cannot
function without it.
I have used Prednisolone (the active metabolite of Prednisone) in the
past. The side effects with Entocort are far fewer and the regulation of
Crohn's is better with Entocort. Still after three years of Entocort i do
have problems with bruising and bleeding - my skin is like paper.
I would choose Remicade over Humira. While the latter is a little less
expensive, if you can find a good cancer clinic they can keep the cost
down for delivering your Remicade dose.
