If Crohn's is starvation occuring slowly a lot things make sense to me
now.
In my case eating food made me really sick. Eating a large meal would
not go down. But if I was starving that would be explained by my body
adjusting to smaller amounts of food. Eating a large amount would be
more than it could handle.
Also it says starvation causes victims to be too weak to sense thirst.
Yup that's what happened to me.
Starvation causes depletion of muscle mass. Yup that's what happened
to me.
Atrophy( a weakened perception of hunger) yup....
Fatigue.....
It just goes on and on and on.
It is recommended for starvation victims to start increasing food
consumption slowly with a low-volume high density food for recovery.
I've been eating a lot of Quaker oat cereals. They sit well.
Now that I'm feeling better I've been going to a local natural market
and getting healthy sandwiches.
Water is incredibly helpful. If I drink too much though my stomach
becomes bloated....so the best way is to drink small amounts
throughout each day.
Beyond this I really don't know. I don't have a doctor right now
(hard to trust them after what they did to me).
I'll keep posting if I come across anything else which may be helpful.
Good luck everyone!
