trying to put on weight

I have never had a problem trying to keep weight on, due to a non
cancerous growth in my colon which stopped everything from flowing
right out----but a friend of mine now has cancer and is losing weight
rapidly. Can anyone suggest some foods that really have helped you to
gain weight?
