No idea. Have not seen any data that indicates it is increasing in
children.
Any of the data I have seen points to better testing discovery being the
cause
of an "increase".

1) No one is ever "cured" of Crohn's Disease.
2) IBS is NOT Crohn's or Colitis. Crohn's and Colitis are IBD, diffence
being
between a "syndrome" and a "disease". A syndrome could be cured by diet,
environment or other outside influences being removed or modified (on the
IBS
group there is a guy who claims that he can cure IBS with one single
hypnosis
treatment."
3)antibiotics and steroids have proven, time and time again in studies and
anecdotal evidence, to help acheive a remission. So far those seem to be
the
only common treatments, everything else has seemed to be specific to the
individual and not common to most sufferers.
