Maybe it is just me, but you made no sense at all.
-
No one at the bottom ever makes more than the higher ups. If they did,
there
would be no incentive to go higher, and no incentive to train others. It
is
only in your best interest to train others if having them work under you
makes
you more money. Standard business model. All companies use it, just in
differing ways. USANA is no different. The guys at the bottom work the
most
and make the least, guys at the top work the least and make the most.
-
Look at it, USANA doesn't advertise... it lets the salesmen do the
advertising
so the company gets to keep more of the income, which goes to the people
at the
top. They have no published research, no research facilities (no they do
not
list any on the website, they make references but never come right out and
say
where and what or anything. Not the best website, very difficult to find
information on). Basically, USANA itself expends very little cash, they
sell
thier products to thier salesmen, who sell it to consumers. The company
gets
profit from the sale of the merchandise to its sellers, and a percentage
of the
sale from seller to customer (if I read the literature correctly). Seems
a
win-win for management to me. Sounds like most other businesses, EXCEPT
that a
normal business doesn't make the salesman buy the items he is selling.
Could
you imagine if Wal*Mart made its salespeople purchase the merchandise from
them, then resell it to the customers? And demand a percentage of the
sale
price?? From what I read, the salesman is required to purchase a certain
amount, whether he needs to or not. Am I wrong?
-
Seems to me to be a GREAT model for the company, a lousy model for the
salesman. Only hope for salesman is to train others to become salesmen
and
then he can become a distributor and get a percentage of the sales under
him.
once again, making more and working less...
