I think you are beginning to see the light and that is that many of our
serious medical problems such as obesity, diabetes, crohns, Irritable
bowel syndrome, aches, pains, asthma and the list goes on, are all
results of a drastic change for the worse) in the life style of the
American public. Treating only symptoms will not cure any disease unless
steps re taken to get at the cause of the problem.

A hundred and fifty years back  Goiter was treated with hundreds of
remedies including drastic surgery. Now it is treated and prevented by a
single drop of Iodine a week. I venture to say that we will find the
same thing with crohns and many of our other so called "new" diseases
that we are suddenly encountering in ever increasing numbers.

In holistic we try to treat causes, not only symptoms and we try to
treat the entire body, not just a part. The beautiful thing about
holistic is that we use God given products that have few side effects
and very often this simple approach works.

So I will venture to say this: 1. Eliminate refined sugar and all other
refined carbohydrates from the diet and avoid all soft drings and soda
pop (try fresh orange juice or apple cider) or good old pain pure water.
2. Seed the gut with beneficial bacteria (probionics). 3. Stay away from
all processed foods and all hydrogenated fats or oils. 4. Take a
sensible approach to eating such as following the Mediterranean diet
(South Beach Diet). 5. Use supplements such as vitamins and minerals
intelligently. 6 Try to have your PH slightly on the alkaline side. 7.
Try to get enough Sun light (vitamine D3). 8. Keep weight slightly on
the thin side and get enough exercise. 9. Do not be influenced by "them"
telling us to eat less fat. Fat is very im****tant but the right kinds of
fat (Canola oil. Olive oil and yes even natural whole butter) and eat
more fatty fish and or take fish oil supplements, again in reason as
fish do contain Mercury. 10. Be aware that house hold mold can be toxic
and if present delete. The list goes on but this is my approach and it
works for me. Karl
