Hi all.
I am a 48 year old Male and may have Celiac's. The test results are not
back yet but I have many of the symptoms:
1) Nausea on and off for about 15 years. Have been told all along it was
just excess acid.
2) Recurrent Diarrhea started about 6 months ago.
3) Eczema, mild case for several years, much much worse starting about 6
months ago. The Dermatologist (who was not aware of the possibility of
Celiac's) suggested my skin was just "sensitive".
4) Increased rate of weight gain starting about 2 years ago
5) Muscle/Joint pains for several years.
The most recent bout of diarrhea/Nausea started 2 weeks ago and I have
been on a gluten free diet for 6 days. There is some improvement in both
the diarrhea and nausea but both are still bothersome. I am also taking
300mg/day zantac, Malox and am not consuming high-acid foods. My question
is how long after commencing the gluten free diet can I expect
improvements, particularly the nausea? This is of course assuming I
actually do have Celiac's and not something else.
