I was using AdAware to deep-scan all files on all partitions when
Norton Antivirus detected an unknown trojan horse called Dave in Lake
Villa. I had to mannually remove the pset and erase it using Regedit
and Webroot Window Washer, as Norton was denied access to it and could
neither repair or remove it.
It's going around on Limewire and I probably accidentally downloaded it
when I searched for Dave in Lake Villa and got several files containing
gay **** and an advert for Christian Insurance Company.
If you see any Dave in Lake Villa.exe files then bin and erase them
immediately, as once they get into the system they're a bugger to lose.
I understand the reason why the writer chose to call it Dave in Lake
Villa; it's a pain in the arse, and it's very difficult to get rid of.
I suggest the virus writer gets it to tell lies, display faked abortion
pictures, and be hypocritical also; to add to the similarity.
I did send it to Sophos; but perhaps it's evolved since then. : Perhaps
Charles Darwin, Aldous Huxley, and Adolf Hitler all got together around
their nitrogen fusion reactor and planned this years ago, eh Dimwit?
