Within normal range?

by Josh Andrews <Josh.Andrews99@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Apr 25, 2007 at 09:42 PM

Hi,

I had some cardio tests done recently as I was experiencing abnormal
sensations in the heart, and was told that the results were within the
normal range. I had 2 extra heart beats on the 24 halter monitor, and
1 on the stress test, and I'm 34. Is this within the normal range for
my age?

The diagnosis was elliptic... something. More nervous type spasms
which do not affect the main functioning of the heart. I was told my
heart was fundamentally healthy even though they continue to occur, at
times very frequently and worryingly. Is this something I should be
concerned about and for which it would be worthwhile taking time off
to avoid stress? Or as it is described as fundamentally healthy are
they sensations that it would be fine for me to try to ignore, and not
be concerned about them nor typical work related stress in the hope
they will subside over time?

Also I had a echo cardiogram done and the ejection rate was 65. The
cardiologist looked at me for a few moments quite intensely and am
wondering if that is a decent ejection rate or not. Maybe it is
expected to be a bit stronger at my age?

Appreciate any advice.

Thanks

Josh
