Cataract surgery then lasik

by "Viviane" <viviane.king@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jun 4, 2008 at 08:47 PM

I've just had an intra ocular lens transplant done in each eye. I am very
short sighted and explored the possibility of getting laser done. Because

of the level of short sightedness, the doctor said I was a perfect
candidate
for the IOL. As it happened I also had the beginning of cataracts, so the

procedure would have been needed anyway.

They have set my right eye for distance vision and the left eye for
reading
so that between the two I can see close up and far away. The left eye is
slightly more short sighted that they had expected and at my next post op
visit in a month they will consider the option of doing laser to make the
left eye less short sighted.

Has anyone had this done? Did it work? What can I expect?
