Kismet video is back, this time with a free "sample" video of its new
"talent," some brown-haired actress. Also returning is Dou7g (the 7
is silent), the subject from "Katja Hypnotizes Doug." It is PAINFUL
to see such a once-f8ine outfit as Kismet reduced to dumpster-diving,
for talent, but this has occurred. Until Kismet restores its previous
standards, I will review them as an outfit, rather than dealing with
the cookie-cutter CRAP they have been putting out in the past two
years.
The new sample from Kismet is a "test video" shot with a hand-held
camera. This is actually the video's main positive, because the
actress was trying to "win the part" and thus dialed up the
dominance. She appeared to be an experienced dominatrix, or at least
naturally dominant. She wasn't even a terrible hypnotist, but the
Kismet standard used to be great (like Ashlee Schull), rather than
competent.
Aside from the bad lighting, sound, and camera angles -- at least this
was free, unlike "Hypnotic Fun" -- in the video, you can very clearly
hear an INFANT CRYING IN THE NEXT ROOM. How unpro****ingfessional can
one get? Femdom hypno in the living room while a kid is crying in the
next room? Oh yeah, Hollywood is shaking in its boots.
Kismet asked for feedback on this video, but did so on inraptured.com,
a site which censors some dissent. That benefits Kismet here, because
the "talent" is also not very attractive physically, though she
appears a bit hypnotic. The scripting sucked, again, but there's also
a BIG cavet here: there was no induction on the free video, which
means this woman has not proven any ability to hypnotize.
With "Yes," Kismet was threatening to take over the industry.
"Hypnothings" was an excellent followup, with an extremely hot and
talented actress (Marta McGonagle), who has gone on to better things
After that, it has been all downhill, with a parade of internet no-
talents churning money by milking an undemanding customer base. Their
most recent work puts them on the level of a tranceproviders.
Joe brags about being so successful with his videos, yet he should
take that money and become a SAG shop, so he can get some REAL talent
to do this, and produce some truly professional and innovative work.
Instead, we get amateur garbage that plays like a bad YouTube video.
Even when the production quality is high, like with Jen & Barry, the
results are unimpressive.
The men who claim to want better quality hypnosis are undercutting
their own ends by rewarding crap with their praise and purchasing. As
long as Kismet keeps selling its lower-quality work, they have no
incentive to stop producing it, any morethan trashproviders, Bernie,
or the other ****-factories would.
Even Ashlee might not be able to save Kismet now anyway, since she's
done two sequels to Yes, and they clearly sucked as well. Looks like
a double one-hit wonder here with the better future for the ***y-
hypnosis consumer laying elsewhere.
This video was astounding for how crappy it was as a total package. A
truly new low for someone capable of much, much better.
