have I pulled back their foreskin and cleaned it... nor they..."

Nancy, there is no assurance that they will ever have any problems
because
of this approach, but there sure is an invitation to problems. You
don't say
how old they are, but their foreskins should be fully and easily
retractable
by age 3 - 5, certainly no later than age 10 at the latest.
When they are retractable, then the possibility of debris, foreign
matter and locally generated secretions can form underneath. The damp
environment and moisture provide the most perfect breeding ground for
germs and bacteria. There is no way to determine if the boys have
phimosis, latent childhood adhesions, skin irritations or infections
(due to those substances I mentioned), or a host of other foreskin
problems, because no attempt to retract has been made. Problems can
start out small and become more serious, without any outward
indications, because no attempt has been made to uncover and inspect
for them.
Boys that don't learn and practice retracting from the earliest age
possible tend to develop hypersensitivity of the ***** head, and
strong odors which then make retracting uncomfortable, unpleasant and
downright disgusting. They will then avoid and resist it as something
repulsive.
